Summer 2026 – Test Engineering Internship
CesiumAstro is a pioneering company in communication systems for space and airborne platforms. They are seeking a Test Engineer Intern who will gain hands-on experience in electronics test engineering, collaborating with the team to execute tests and assist in quality control activities.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the test engineering team to execute tests in the electronics lab, such as functional testing, digital signal integrity verification, or power converter control loop measurements
Work with test architectures and test systems, including equipment selection, test fixtures, data logging methodology, and interfaces
Assemble complex test setups, working with design engineers and technicians
Executing tests at the prototype, qualification, and acceptance stages
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues by applying engineering principles and problem-solving skills
Collect and analyze data from test processes to identify trends and areas for improvement
Assist in quality control activities, including inspections, testing, and root cause analysis for non-conforming products
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in engineering at an accredited institution
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess and improve test processes
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, share ideas, and contribute to collective goals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings
High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in process documentation and quality control activities
Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities and project requirements
Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to take on new challenges and responsibilities
Preferred
Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers
Programming or scripting experience, such as Python, LabVIEW, SQL, MATLAB, or Embedded C
Understanding of RF and mixed-signal hardware (e.g. amplifiers, filters, ADCs/DACs, antennas)
