New Grad, Entry LevelWestern Missouri Medical Center is seeking a Clinic Radiology Tech to provide essential support in patient care. The role involves interviewing patients, preparing them for examinations, administering medications, and assisting physicians during treatments, while also managing office duties and maintaining a clean environment.

Responsibilities
Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight and height
Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician
Record patients’ medical history, vital statistics, and information such as test results in medical records
Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician
Collect blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens and prepare them for testing
Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, and providers’ instructions to patients
Help physicians examine and treat patients, hand them instruments and materials or perform such tasks as application of casts and splints and removing sutures
Authorize drug refills with insurance companies and provide prescription information to pharmacies
Prepare treatment rooms for examinations, keeping the room neat and clean
Clean instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies
Schedule appointments for patients
Change dressings on wounds
Greet and log in patients arriving at the clinic
Contact medical facilities or departments to schedule patients for tests and/or admission
Perform general office duties such as answering telephones, taking dictation, and completing insurance forms
Inventory and order medical, lab and office supplies and equipment
Operate digital x-ray examinations as ordered by the provider
And any other duties that may not be listed
Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner
Receive and handle phone calls as directed by the physician
Ensure the room is properly cleaned and stocked
Ensure proper handling and storage of all sample medications that are stored in the office
Maintain regular and predictable attendance
Perform other essential duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Radiology Tech certificate from an accredited school
Organizational Skills
Computer experience
Must work well under pressure
Ability to communicate well with people both in person and on the phone
Effectively act as a liaison between patients and providers
Must adhere to HIPAA rules and regulations
Medical terminology
Typing skills
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic
Must be able to sit and stand intermittent 8 to 10 hours a day
Must be able to use standard office equipment, including the telephone and computer keyboard
Continuously works under pressure of near 100% accuracy while meeting inflexible deadlines
Continuously utilizes manual/bi-manual dexterity, near vision, speech, and hearing
Frequently stands, walks, sits and utilizes eye/hand coordination and color definition
Occasionally reaches above shoulder, regularly required to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs
Occasionally walks on uneven surfaces
