Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations to ensure accurate closure of the monthly fiscal period
Preparation of monthly reconciliations for all assigned balance sheet accounts, including supporting documentation for all balances
Ensuring compliance by consistently achieving processing and reporting deadlines
Safeguarding privileged and/or proprietary information to maintain confidentiality
Assisting business unit management with financial information requests as needed
Providing support for annual internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and cross-checking financial statements and footnotes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required
Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, planning, and analysis skills are required
Strong relationship management, organizing, and customer service skills are required
Candidates are expected to meet multiple deadlines, maintain confidentiality, implement process improvement changes, and pay close attention to details
Candidates are expected to adapt and flex to a changing environment
Preferred
Prior experience in accounting or a related field is preferred
Experience with Yardi Voyager is preferred
Familiarity with accounting software or sub-ledger is preferred
Understanding of ledger accounts is preferred
