Responsibilities
Project planning, permitting, cost estimating, design, drafting, scheduling, and reporting
Provide detailed designs for asphalt plant retrofit and modification projects
Assist in the coordination of outside engineering, fabrication and erection services
Prepare proposals, cost estimates and justifications for future work
Schedule work to meet completion dates, technical specifications, functional requirements and budget constraints
Analyze asphalt production processes and performance metrics to identify enhancements that eliminate bottlenecks and increase efficiency
May be called upon at the discretion of management to perform other duties not listed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in appropriate technical field; degreed Mechanical Engineer, Civil Engineer or Electrical Engineer preferred but not required
Working knowledge of structural, civil, and mechanical design of asphalt plants or related field
Working knowledge of concrete foundation designs and power transmission systems
Working knowledge of surveying and drafting equipment
Working knowledge of drafting and site planning in AutoCAD or equivalent
Working knowledge of MS Windows systems (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)
Experience with erection, modification and refurbishment of asphalt plants or related equipment
Experience with design and aligning production needs with plant capacities
Preferred
A minimum of 5 years of project management experience preferred but not required
PMP or CPM certification preferred but not required
