RN, Wilkes-Barre Transitional Rehab Unit (FT, Wknd. Program, 7am-7:30pm)
Allied Services is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Transitional Rehab Unit. The role involves coordinating all aspects of care for patients while providing a therapeutic environment that encourages positive behavior and achievement of goals.

Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of care for patients
Provide a therapeutic environment for patients and family development
Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served
Assess data reflective of the patient's status
Interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements
Provide the care needed as described in the Nursing Department's policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required
Possession of a current license as a Registered Nurse as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners
Ability to interact and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing required
CPR certification must be obtained and maintained
Must be cleared by PA State Police criminal history check
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized care appropriate to the age specific need and culture of the patient served
Medium Work: duties require exerting 25 to 50 lbs. of force occasionally (approx 10-33% of shift), and/or 10-25lbs. of force frequently (approx 33-66% of the time), and/or greater than negligible amount up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects
Position involves bending, reaching, stooping and lifting (occasionally in strained position) throughout shift
Ability to transport self throughout facility is required
Preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of satisfactory experience in a long term care setting preferred
