GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Highway Entry Level Engineer to join their team. This role involves supporting the Highway group by performing tasks such as traffic engineering, design, field observation, and report writing under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

Field work
Traffic engineering and analysis of roadways
Design and layout of project components in 2d and 3d
Preparing construction drawings and documents
Field observation for adherence to construction plans and specifications
Report writing and cost estimating
Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional types of plans, investigations, or surveys
Work on small projects or portions of larger projects
Primary data collector in the field
Perform specific portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer
Perform standard computations or basic engineering analysis
Maintain equipment inventory
Attend project meetings with senior staff
Responsible for basic QA/QC tasks; review of own work, as well as reviewing the work of Junior Engineers and Technicians
Provide limited supervision to technicians
Coordination with municipalities/agencies regarding background volumes, accident data, signal timings, etc
Develop and analyze trip generation and volume

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program or an approved equivalent
Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field
Driver's License
