Ninyo & Moore, A SOCOTEC Company is seeking a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer. The successful candidate will assist in marketing and business development, manage geotechnical projects, and mentor junior staff while maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

Assist in marketing/business development including but not limited to:
Preparation of geotechnical proposals including scope of services and proposed fees, assisting in compilation of RFQ/RFP documentation and responding to technical questions for various solicitations during pre-bidding and bidding phases of projects
Prepare and manage/oversee geotechnical projects and be responsible for preparation of geotechnical evaluation reports
Attend project meetings with the project stakeholders on an as-needed basis, maintain client relationships; and
Work directly with the clients to assure the successful project completion
Mentor junior staff; provide leadership, provide ongoing training to engineering staff
Provide direction and review of engineering work products prepared by others
Keep himself/herself up-to-date with latest geotechnical survey/measurement/analyses techniques, instrumentation, industry standards or guidelines
Review and sign geotechnical proposals and reports on behalf of the company

Required

M.S. in Civil Engineering with geotechnical emphasis required
P.E. license required
Licensed professional engineer in Arizona
10 years or more of experience in the geotechnical industry performing duties described
Well-rounded background in geotechnical engineering
Strong work ethic
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Track record of successful client relationships and service
Thorough understanding and knowledge of geotechnical engineering
Work experience with construction and earthwork activities
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work and meet deadlines under time pressure
Positive attitude
Excellent problem solving skills

Geophysical survey experience
