This role involves directing and coordinating the activities of manufacturing engineers and technicians, focusing on the design and evaluation of integrated systems for managing industrial production processes.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize, implement and maintain assembly and test processes including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

Create, maintain, and control assembly process documentation

Generate and maintain PLC programs for assembly and test equipment

Implement engineering changes and communicate those changes to appropriate personnel

Engage in problem solving activities, implement corrective actions, and effectively communicate those actions to all required personnel

Interact with various departments to develop an understanding of all products manufactured by Hydro-Gear and overall business operations

Assist with on-going operator training activities

Work concurrently with design engineers during implementation of new products to aid with design for manufacturability

Assist with various activities and projects as directed by the production manager

Participate in development and execution of team budget

Ensure that all staff are properly trained, developed and evaluated

Participate in recruiting activities

Develop and maintain process design standards

Responsible for interpreting and enforcing company policies, procedures and safety guidelines

Demonstrate a commitment to maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment

Follow safety regulations and actively contribute to work safety

Reinforce confidentiality practices and ensure rules are appropriately followed

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) degree from a 4 year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience

Maintain professional and technical knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet Software, Microsoft Word Processing Software, CAD, NX Design Software and Publishing/Graphics Software such as Microsoft PowerPoint
