Pilot Company is an industry-leading network of travel centers with a commitment to providing integrated legal services. The Associate General Counsel, Litigation will lead and manage litigation matters, develop legal strategies, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to mitigate legal risks.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage certain litigation and pre-litigation matters across civil, commercial, employment, regulatory, and class action cases

Assist with development and execution of litigation strategy in alignment with business priorities and risk tolerance

Select, supervise, and manage outside counsel to ensure high-quality and cost-effective legal representation

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess legal risk, develop case strategy, collect evidence, and prepare witnesses

Represent the company in settlement negotiations, mediations, trials, and arbitrations

Oversee responses to subpoenas, government inquiries, and other document requests

Assist with maintenance of case tracking systems, litigation budgets, and legal holds

Advise business units on dispute resolution strategies and help minimize exposure through proactive legal counseling

Support internal investigations and compliance review as needed

Contribute to company policies and procedures related to risk management, dispute resolution, and document retention
