Behavioral Health Tech
ACTS, Inc. is a community dedicated to changing lives, seeking compassionate individuals to join their Intermediate Care Team. The Behavioral Health Technician will be responsible for ensuring client safety, observing behavioral changes, and supporting clients in their personal adjustment and daily activities.
Non-profit Organization Management
Responsibilities
Making frequent rounds of facility to insure adequate safeguards and client safety are maintained
Observing clients for changes in behavior and motivates clients to participate in activities
Advises clients in their personal adjustment utilizing verbal de-escalation techniques
Interprets the client handbook for clients as needed and applies applicable rules and regulations to clients
Documents individual contacts, daily case notes, incident and injury reports and grievances
Assists clients in preparing for court appearances or other outside activities
Implements supportive, psycho-educational and recreational groups
Advises and guides clients on personal hygiene habits
Monitors and tracks compliance with self-administered medication process after successful completion of training provided by ACTS, Inc
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma or the equivalent
Valid Florida Driver License
Ability to pass Federal, State and Local Law Level 2 background clearances
Ability to participate in crisis intervention and CPR/First Aid training and apply learned techniques, as needed
