Responsibilities
Maintains greenhouse facilities in an orderly and clean manner that ensures safety rules are followed
Maintains a computerized inventory/checkout system for equipment in greenhouse with an emphasis on the state Seed to Sale monitoring system
Prepares ordering service for a complicated range of equipment in Urban Agriculture department labs
Creates requisitions, tracks shipments to storage and maintains and delivers supplies for all areas of the Urban Agriculture department
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school or the equivalent, supplemented by two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Ability to plan, organize and supervise the work of subordinates
Must be computer proficient with knowledge of a variety of software programs
Ability to instruct students on use of laboratory equipment through use of strong organizational skills, and good verbal communication
Ability to support students with instruction and resources
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Considerable knowledge of greenhouse management or an equivalent combination of training and experience is preferred
Experience working in an academic environment is preferred
Considerable knowledge of three or more of the following disciplines: Hemp, cultivation, breeding, genetics, greenhouse management, plant propagation is preferred
