Parent Resource Coordinator

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) provides family support services statewide through prevention, intervention, and treatment programs. The Parent Resource Coordinator will oversee school-based family resource centers, empowering parents and providing essential resources while ensuring adherence to protocols and submitting reports.

Responsibilities

Oversee and facilitate school-based family resource centers
Empower parents through parent education and providing resources for basic needs and referrals
Encourage and support the implementation of parent involvement activities
Provide advocacy and support services information to families about community resources
Assist families in assessing appropriate services
Ensure adherence to all F.U.S.D. precautions and protocols
Support and guide staff, faculty, coworkers, interns, and affiliates where necessary
Submit timely programmatic and financial reports to supervisors and grant funders

Required

Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in child development, family studies, psychology, social work, or a related area of study, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years working directly with culturally and economically diverse populations of parents, infants, and children
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have a valid driver's license and access to safe, reliable transportation with valid automobile insurance
Must possess a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance card
Complete CPR and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire and maintain certifications throughout employment
Minimum of 20 hours of continuing education and competency building per fiscal year, including but not limited to Relias Learning, conferences, workshops, and/or outside training
Knowledge and/or experience in infant and child development, parent-child attachment, potential behavioral health dynamics of caregivers, and dynamics of child abuse and neglect
Knowledge and/or experience with strength-based and family-centered provision of primary prevention services
Ability to assist in identifying individual/family strengths and planning/advocating around individual/family goals
Knowledge and/or experience with community resources and understanding how to navigate/access these resources for families (e.g., social service agencies, behavioral health provider systems, and developmental disabilities divisions)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including being nonjudgmental, objective, reflective, empathic, patient, and tactful
Strong written and verbal communication skills to promote clear understanding
Ability to be self-motivated and work independently, while also collaborating effectively within team dynamics and under direct supervision to meet program requirements/objectives

Bilingual (English and Spanish/Navajo/Hopi) preferred
