Responsibilities
Lead complex and high-impact product design projects that help raise the quality bar for our users, from conceptual models to UI design
Develop prototypes and patterns for scalable, consistent interfaces
Collaborate with design executive leaders to create compelling representations of the very best examples of design at Atlassian
Champion design craft and mentor other designers
Collaborate with a range of cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Product Management, Research, Design, Marketing, and Data Science) across our Atlassian product portfolio
Conduct user research using various methods and principles to gain insights into customer needs and inform design solutions
Engage with customers and sales teams for insights and feedback
Qualification
Required
Experience: 5+ years in product design, with a track record of designing complex or enterprise-level software
Experience in security, data management, identity access, compliance, or platform design is highly valued
Experience in creating conference-ready decks, multimedia and presentation templates
Strategic & Systems Thinking: Expertise in design systems, information architecture, and creating frameworks that support diverse customer use cases
Craft Mastery: Deep understanding of interaction and visual design, accessibility, and inclusive design principles
Skilled in prototyping, user testing, and iterative design
Communication: Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, able to clearly articulate design rationale and build consensus among stakeholders
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
Preferred
AI Fluency (nice to have): Comfortable designing AI products that leverage AI, and using AI tools in the design process
