Systems Engineer III - Aerospace

Responsibilities
Lead and maintain system, subsystem, and interface requirements across the program lifecycle; ensure traceability and compliance with MDA standards
Develop and manage system-level verification plans, procedures, and compliance matrices
Plan and support execution of system-level verification events (e.g., reviews, inspections, tests)
Conduct and maintain technical risk assessments, mitigation plans, and risk tracking documentation
Interface regularly with cross-functional teams including propulsion, software, hardware, test, GNC, quality, and safety
Collaborate with customer and supplier stakeholders to communicate requirements changes, verification status, and risk posture
Support development of and maintain Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) artifacts using SysML and Cameo/MagicDraw
Participate in configuration management, change control, and formal design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR)
Assist in technical planning, schedule alignment, and tracking of engineering deliverables
Qualification
Required
4 to 7 years of systems engineering experience in DoD, aerospace, or missile defense programs
Proven experience in requirements development, verification planning, and risk management
Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) processes, technical reviews, and CDRL development
Hands-on experience with MBSE methodologies and modeling using SysML in tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
Background in stakeholder coordination and cross-functional engineering communication
Required: Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related STEM field from an accredited college/university
Preferred
Preferred: Master's degree in systems engineering or a related discipline is desirable and may substitute for 1 year of experience from an accredited college/university
