Manufacturing Engineer INTERN - Washington, North Carolina
AAF International is a leading provider of clean air solutions with a rich history and global presence. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will support manufacturing processes and operations, contributing to projects that enhance production efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities
Support Production Processes: Assist in analyzing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to production metrics, including throughput, cycle time, and yield, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct root cause analysis of defects and develop corrective actions to improve product quality and reliability
Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen events to streamline processes and drive operational excellence
Equipment Maintenance: Work with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance tasks, and ensure equipment reliability to minimize downtime
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and project updates. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, quality, and supply chain to achieve project objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, principles, and methodologies is a plus
Preferred
Prior internship or coursework experience in manufacturing or engineering
