Benefits Analyst (Workers Compensation)
SpaceX is a company focused on developing technologies for space exploration, aiming to enable human life on Mars. They are seeking a Benefits Analyst to assist with the design and administration of various employee benefit programs, while also advising employees on benefit-related inquiries.

Responsibilities
Assist with design, implementation, and day-to-day administration of benefit programs, including health & welfare benefit plans, 401(k) plan, and other employee services
Support annual benefits open enrollment planning and execution. Help develop effective communication strategy to educate and reach diverse employee population
Advise and counsel employees and dependents on day-to-day benefit-related questions (via email, phone, walk-ups, and drop-in sessions)
Partner with finance, payroll, HRIS, legal, and vendors to effectively and efficiently perform all aspects of benefit program management, including ensuring accuracy of benefit deductions and streamlining current processes and procedures to ensure proper data flow to relevant parties
Assist with provider premium billing statements and resolve any discrepancies
Keep abreast of policies, legislative changes, and legal requirements, such as ERISA, HIPAA, and the Affordable Care Act to assist with plan compliance efforts
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to:
Company wellness initiatives and employee services
Commuter program support
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
2+ years of human resources experience in a generalist or benefits background
This is not a remote or hybrid position and will require relocation if not already local to the Hawthorne, CA area
Position occasionally requires the ability to work extended hours or weekends when needed
Ability to travel to other SpaceX offices as needed
To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Preferred

Ability to use independent judgment and prioritize work

Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
