Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring smooth functioning of departments such as front office, housekeeping and maintenance
Renovation Oversight: Assist the General Manager with the hotel’s renovation efforts, collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution
Guest Experience: Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction and service quality. Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience
Team Management: Train and develop a high-performing team across all departments, maintaining a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability
Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all hotel operations comply with local health, safety, and legal requirements, including during renovation activities
Operational Improvements: Implement improvements to maximize guest satisfaction, operational performance, and profitability
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of hotel operations experience
Experience managing some aspects of property improvement projects (PIPs), particularly within the select-service segment
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt and lead through periods of change, particularly during property upgrades
A passion for guest service and creating a welcoming environment for all guests
Preferred
Experience with Choice Hotels brand or other select-service properties
Familiarity with industry-standard hotel management software (e.g., ChoiceAdvantage, OnQ, PEP)
