Responsibilities

Build cross-functional relationships with functional department heads and field leadership
Learn, understand, and stay informed about the competitive landscape for NFP’s various business lines, including Property & Casualty, Benefits & Life, and Wealth & Retirement
Evaluate and summarize M&A prospect information obtained through both proprietary processes and banker-led auctions
Determine M&A targets’ cultural and operational fit with NFP by collaborating with teammates across multiple departments and understanding the strategic rationale of each transaction
Assess M&A target metrics, including financial performance, and have the ability to clearly articulate summary findings to M&A team members as well as executive leadership
Assist in financial analysis and due diligence activities by constructing pro-forma financial statements, financial valuation models, and other key quantitative analyses
Drive transactions to close through process-oriented project management of key transaction milestones, up to and including integration
Prepare materials for use in external business development initiatives, as well as internal meetings (including the M&A pipeline), using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other presentation tools

Required

Bachelors degree required
2 years of experience required
Accounting and Finance experience, including financial modeling, required
Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with all levels of client management
Problem-solving and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and be self-driven, with ability to identify, plan and prioritize business opportunities
Strong, independent judgment
Ability to demonstrate professionalism

Preferred

Experience in a sales role a plus
