Responsibilities

Perform detailed data analysis and validation across healthcare data sources (claims, enrollment, eligibility, provider, and clinical data)
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate large datasets
Compare data between multiple systems or data sources to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity
Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable insights
Support data quality initiatives by identifying data gaps, inconsistencies, and process improvement opportunities
Prepare clear documentation of data findings, logic, and processes
Assist in the design and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and KPIs for business stakeholders
Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards (HIPAA, CMS, NCQA, etc.)

Required

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Health, or related field
3–6 years of experience as a Data Analyst within the healthcare payer domain
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data querying, joins, aggregations, and performance tuning
Hands-on experience working with claims, eligibility, member, or provider data
Ability to analyze large and complex datasets from multiple systems and reconcile data inconsistencies
Proficient with tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau for data visualization and reporting
Strong understanding of healthcare data models, payer workflows, and standard data formats (e.g., 837/835)
Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
Effective communication skills to present data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred

Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation
Familiarity with ETL tools or data integration platforms
Knowledge of Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, or commercial payer processes
