They are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to work in a cloud environment, ensuring day-to-day operations stability and providing customer support while troubleshooting operational issues in a Linux environment.

Responsibilities

Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions

Work in a cloud environment platform, built with Java on Free and Open-Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop and Accumulo, to enable the execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure

Ensure day-to-day operations stability, provide customer support, as well as knowledge in technical and troubleshooting repair expertise

Thrive in a fast-paced team environment, proactively completing tasks with strong attention to detail

Provide Tier 1 through Tier 3 support

Rotating on-call duties (one week, every two months)

Required

Fourteen (14) years of experience is required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field is highly desired which will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience

A Master's degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience

Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher required

One of the following certifications is required: AWS Certified Developer-Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator-Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKAD), Elastic Certified Engineer, Elastic Certified Observability Engineer

Position requires rotating on call duties (one week, every two months)

Strong background in troubleshooting operational issues in a Linux environment

Preferred

Additional knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop, and scripting experience such as Python and Bash is beneficial

Other experience that could benefit the candidate: Prometheus, JIRA, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Virtualization, Salt/ Ansible, Grafana, Openstack and AWS
