In the role of CEI Inspector Aide, you will conduct observations and inspections of civil construction projects while coordinating material sampling and testing under the supervision of a Senior Inspector.

Responsibilities

Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations and pipelines

Monitor, record and inspect progress on construction projects

Coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in-place soil compaction testing

Receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress

Perform basic mathematical calculations and follow simple technical instructions

Ability to obtain FDOT Intermediate MOT within the first six months of the assignment

Perform other duties as needed

Required

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong written communication skills
