New GradGuideStar Eldercare is offering a multi-dimensional, outpatient geriatric psychology post-doctoral fellowship. Fellows will work alongside licensed psychologists providing on-location behavioral health and neuro-cognitive services to residents of long-term care facilities, focusing on patients diagnosed with Major Neurocognitive Disorder due to various dementia etiologies.

Responsibilities
Provide evaluation
Establish different diagnosis, i.e. Alzheimer’s vs. Parkinson’s vs. Vascular Cognitive Assessment
Provide condition-specific support therapy, or when indicated, insight-based therapy
Coordinate the patient’s care plan with the facility, PCP and GuideStar colleagues, and to engage with the family as indicated
Qualification
Required
PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
Experience providing evaluation and establishing different diagnoses
Ability to provide condition-specific support therapy or insight-based therapy
Ability to coordinate the patient's care plan with the facility, PCP, and colleagues
Flexibility and willingness to accept challenges of working with atypical geriatric populations
Preferred
Interest in geriatric, health psychology, and/or neuropsychology
Interest in exposure to working in medical and behavioral health settings
