Responsibilities
Responsible for the design, simulation, and optimization of electric motors
Develop concepts and perform the simulations, calculations, and analysis necessary to ensure a design meets both internal and external customer expectations
Analyze, simulate and verify the electrical components as well as presenting these results
Specify the motor parameters and requirements to achieve specific performance targets and through accurate modeling and simulation perform optimization studies
Cooperate with testing engineers to specify testing conditions, support testing and evaluate the results regarding torque, power, and temperature characteristics
Understand the current specifications of the Quality Policy and procedures, as well as the Safety and Environment Policy and procedures and contribute to the achievement of the company objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics
Experience designing electric machines in academic and professional setting
Solid understanding of various types of electric machines and their dynamic modelling
Knowledge of vibration analysis and modelling
Advanced knowledge of E-Motor controls and measurements
Experience using Python and MATLAB/Simulink
Experience with FEA modelling software such as Ansys Maxwell, Ansys MotorCAD, JMAG, or FLUX
Understanding of E-Motor manufacturing processes
Knowledge of the Product Development Process
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship
