Health & Well-Being Summer Non-Clinical Intern
Parkview Health is seeking a Health & Well-Being Summer Non-Clinical Intern to work alongside a team of registered dietitians. The intern will assist with the Food Is Medicine platform, engaging in nutrition-related projects and supporting program planning and evaluation.

Responsibilities
Work alongside a team of registered dietitians to advance the Food Is Medicine platform and strategy
Assist with program planning, implementation, and evaluation
Attend daily meetings and collaborate closely with the team
Engage in a variety of nutrition-related projects, including areas such as food insecurity and access, chronic disease and lifestyle medicine, and youth and family nutrition
Assist the Community Nutrition Supervisor and team with tasks such as maintaining the recipe library, updating educational materials, and supporting the development of an electronic library of nutrition resources
Integrate scopes of work into the Food Is Medicine strategy
Build a comprehensive electronic resource library
Host tastings at the HEAL Farm Market
Collaborate on a group project determined during the program
Qualification
Required
Strong communication skills
Self-motivated
Comfortable taking initiative
Familiar with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards
Must be current undergraduate college student or graduate college student
Full-time availability, approximately 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend commitments as needed
Preferred
Prior public speaking experience
Experience working directly with the public—particularly with vulnerable populations
Experience with website development
Pursuing a degree in Nutrition or Dietetics, or a closely related field
Specific educational focus or degree may be preferred depending on the hosting department of internship
Specific license and/or certification may be preferred depending on the hosting department of internship
GPA of 3.0 or above
