Maintenance Engineer Technician - 3rd Shift

The Maintenance Engineer Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting production and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations while supporting production and minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and automated systems. Use PLCs, ladder logic, and HMIs for fault resolution
Automation Support: Maintain and support automated production equipment including robotics, conveyors, sensors, actuators, and control systems
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance on heading, threading, painting, packaging, and automation equipment
Equipment Installation & Upgrades: Assist with setup, installation, commissioning, and improvement of equipment using schematics and technical manuals
Machine Setup & Changeover: Support alignment and tooling adjustments during changeovers. Provide operator support during runs
Facility & Utility Maintenance: Maintain air compressors, lighting, water systems, and perform facility inspections
Documentation: Accurately complete work orders, downtime logs, and maintenance records. Communicate repair timelines with production leads
Inventory Management: Track usage of tools and parts; request reorders to avoid downtime
Collaboration: Work with production, engineering, and quality teams. Train operators in basic troubleshooting and equipment care
Continuous Improvement: Participate in root cause analysis and support equipment performance enhancements
Safety & Compliance: Follow OSHA standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies. Participate in safety programs, audits, and corrective actions

Required

Preferred

Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance
3+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, ideally in fasteners or metal forming
Strong skills in automation, PLCs, ladder logic, and control systems
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Skilled in minor machining or fabrication
