Responsibilities

Managing and executing customer installation activities within agreed upon project timeframes

Verifying the complete functionality and readiness of systems for software deployment

Conducting routine system tasks like software updates, system upgrades, data backup/restoration, and troubleshooting

Gaining a deep understanding of public safety customer environments to ensure optimal product security and reliability

Demonstrating proficient software and IP networking skills, coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities

Deliver solutions that align with existing products, standard interfaces, and pre-defined procedures

Diagnose and resolve issues across systems, networks, and infrastructure

Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed

Identify defects, work with project team/Engineering to support through resolution

Adhering to all corporate guidelines and completing required training, including CJIS compliance

Accurately logging billable hours for project work

Occasional travel (25%-50%) will be required, depending on project and business needs

Required

A college degree in Engineering, IT, or Technology OR a High School diploma combined with at least 3 years of experience deploying or integrating complex IP products and systems

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's 'Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy' and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Please note that employer sponsorships for work permit is not available for this position

Proven experience installing, administering, and troubleshooting Server Virtualization/Containerization: Specifically VMware ESXi v.7+ and/or Red Hat OpenShift

Proven experience installing, administering, and troubleshooting Database Servers: Particularly Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and later

Proven experience installing, administering, and troubleshooting Server Operating Systems: Including Windows Server 2019 and later

Proven experience installing, administering, and troubleshooting Workstation Operating Systems: Such as Windows 10 & 11, and Linux

Proven experience installing, administering, and troubleshooting Network LAN Switches: Experience with HP Arista is a plus

Proven experience installing, administering, and troubleshooting Storage Area Network (SAN): Experience with HPE Alletra and Nimble is a plus

Proven experience installing, administering, and troubleshooting Basic Firewall and Router knowledge: Fortinet Fortigate experience is a plus

Proven experience installing, administering, and troubleshooting Server and Workstation hardware: Experience with HPE compute hardware is a plus

Proven experience installing, administering, and troubleshooting Window Active Directory (AD) administration including Group Policy Object (GPO) and Domain Name System (DNS)

Proven experience using TeamCity is a plus

Prior experience with the deployment, integration, operations, or administration of Public Safety Applications

A strong ability to independently select appropriate methods and techniques to solve problems

The capacity to collaborate effectively with regional and territorial management

Excellent communication skills, enabling you to interact clearly with peers and senior stakeholders

Demonstrated critical thinking skills for effective problem-solving and decision-making

Preferred

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Software Engineering, or Technology, OR 5+ years of experience deploying and integrating complex IP products and systems
