The role involves leading the development, deployment, and support of COBOL and Hogan-based mainframe systems, while providing mentorship and collaborating across teams to ensure production stability.

Responsibilities
Lead the development, deployment, and support of COBOL and Hogan-based mainframe systems
Design and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and related technologies
Collaborate across teams to support new feature development and production stability
Provide mentorship and code reviews to team members
Participate in full life-cycle development, from design through deployment
Balance time between new development and production support for UAT and AAE environments
Qualification
Required
9+ years of experience in Mainframe development
Strong hands-on expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and Hogan
Experience with AS/400, RPG400, RPG III, DEC VAX, HP3000, or SYNON is a plus
Exposure to DevOps practices for mainframe CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred
Solid understanding of database design and system architecture
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred
Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks
Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
