Responsibilities
Design and create floral arrangements, bouquets, and gift baskets for customers and special orders
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting travelers in selecting flowers and gifts for all occasions
Ensure proper care, handling, and maintenance of fresh flowers and plants to maximize shelf life and quality
Maintain an appealing and organized sales floor, including rotating displays and restocking supplies as needed
Manage inventory of flowers, vases, wrapping materials, and decorative accessories
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system
Prepare and package floral and gift orders for travel, ensuring secure wrapping suitable for flights
Collaborate with management on seasonal themes, promotions, and custom product offerings
Adhere to airport and company policies, including safety, security, and cleanliness standards
Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and daily reports
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a florist or floral designer (1–2 years preferred)
Strong knowledge of flower varieties, design principles, and color combinations
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and in a high-traffic environment
Basic computer and POS system skills
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods
Preferred
Experience in retail or airport gift shops
Knowledge of floral preservation and care techniques
Creativity in developing new arrangements and display ideas
Basic merchandising and sales experience
