Responsibilities
Site investigations (including drilling, testing pitting, lab testing, geophysical surveys, instrumentation installation, river/stream inspection, and geohazard assessment)
Construction monitoring (including dam, pond, and ditch construction, fill placement, foundation excavation, assessment and approval, and instrumentation installations and monitoring)
Reporting and interpretation of field data
Supporting data management and data entry
Interpretation of instrumentation data
Contribution to designs
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a relevant undergraduate degree in Civil (Geotechnical/Hydrotechnical/General) or Geological Engineering, Geoscience, Geology, Geophysics or a related field
Excellent written, presentation and oral communications
MS Office skills
Drug & Alcohol Testing
Driver's License
Travel and Vaccination
Current passport
Preferred
A second language is an asset
Familiarity with some of the below topics is an asset: Soil Mechanics, Rock Mechanics, Hydrogeology, Hydrology and Hydraulics, Geochemistry, Geomorphology, Technical Writing
