Administrative Assistant for Admissions and Records (part-time)
Virginia's Community College System is a two-year public institution of higher education. The Administrative Assistant for Admissions and Records will provide customer service to students, assist with admissions and records processes, and perform various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities
Provide high quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff
Assist students with all aspects of admissions and records including the college application, registration, graduation process and transcript requests
Perform duties such as filing and scanning documents, entering detailed data into SIS, assisting with graduation, proctoring tests, and other tasks assigned by the supervisor
May be required to perform other duties as assigned
May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor
Qualification
Required
Excellent human relations skills for working with the public and with community college students, faculty, and administrators
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Demonstrated knowledge of general office practices
Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail
Preferred
Work experience in a team-oriented postsecondary educational environment
Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to college admissions and records
Experience with PeopleSoft Student Information System (SIS) or other comparable system
