Ozark Center is dedicated to providing care for individuals impacted by behavioral health issues. The Residential Psych Tech is responsible for the day-to-day care and supervision of residents, assisting in the implementation of individualized treatment plans and ensuring a supportive environment.

Mental Health Care

Responsibilities

Charts all pertinent observation on a continuing basis regarding residents

Subject to mandatory overtime and shift changes

Perform all other duties as assigned

Supervises and assists residents in wake-up, meals, recreation, counseling, education/vocation needs, daily routine and hygiene, house rules and sleep

Works as a team member with other staff to implement program plans

Provides direct behavior observations and reinforcement of appropriate behaviors as prescribed by the cottage based treatment team

Participates in Team Meetings, shift information exchanges, daily cottage briefings and has input in the evaluation and treatment plan progress of each resident

Required

Member of the cottage based treatment team

Responsible for providing day-to-day care and supervision of the children/residents

Provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance abuse and mental health) issues

Demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude

Conveys a philosophy of dual recovery

Trained in trauma-informed care

Medium physical effort requires handling of average weight objects of up to 50 pounds and standing and walking

Requires ability to work under stressful conditions and to work irregular hours and deal with irate individuals
