BKF Engineers is seeking a Project Accountant to join their accounting team. In this role, you will manage accounts and documentation with accuracy, support month-end closing processes, and assist project managers with financial reports.

Responsibilities

Support the month-end closing process and reconciliations

Prepare invoices for clients and review draft invoices for appropriate labor and expense charges. Ensure accuracy with billing rates and billing ceilings. Make appropriate changes and reclassifications

Assist Project Manager in reviewing project costs (budget vs actual)

Research client invoicing questions and fulfill client requests for invoice support documentation

Prepare project financial reports (i.e. WIP aging, AR aging, project budget vs actual)

Support project managers in project setup and project maintenance in Deltek Vision

Troubleshoot and problem-solve project billing issues

Perform other assignments as required

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a combination of education and experience

Exceptional communication skills (written and oral)

Strong mathematical aptitude

Solid knowledge of Excel

Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Ability to interface with project managers, clients, and architects

Preferred

Experience in Architecture or Engineering industry

Deltek Vision Accounting system experience
