Staff Physician, Infectious Diseases - Internal Medicine, McGovern Medical School
UTHealth Houston is a leading academic health center, inviting applications for a full-time Staff Physician in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases. The selected candidate will provide direct patient care for inpatients and outpatients, and contribute to improving health care quality through excellence and innovation in clinical practice.

Responsibilities
Providing direct patient care for inpatients receiving an Infectious disease consult on their inpatient services
Providing direct patient care in the outpatient setting in an Infectious Diseases clinic
Developing and sustaining an environment in the patient care units that supports excellence and innovation in clinical practice and patient care through assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and standards that support positive patient care outcomes, including excellent risk-adjusted outcomes
Other activities may include supervision of ID fellows or APPs in the inpatient setting
Qualification
Required
MD or DO degree
Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License
Board certification in Internal Medicine
Board certification or board eligibility in infectious diseases
Minimum of 2 (two) years of infectious diseases fellowship training
