Data Scientist, Mid level
Planet Technologies is the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, seeking a highly motivated individual to join their growing team as a Mid level Data Scientist. This role involves supporting impactful projects, building and improving dashboards, predictive models, and applying AI/ML techniques to extract insights from data.

Responsibilities
Builds, maintains, and improves dashboards, applications, and automations
Connects to APIs, system-to-system connections, and manual data transfers for ETL
Builds predictive risk models using statistical analysis
Applies AI/ML to extract insights from unstructured documentation
Develops and carries out full-service data calls, including data normalization and visualization
Creates business intelligence analysis and visualizations for management
Improves methodologies and tools for risk assessment
Researches and recommends business data storage/integration solutions
Develops user guides and documentation for BI products
Incorporates data science tools (SQL, R, Python, etc.) into services
Qualification
Required
Strong proficiency with Power Platform, SharePoint, and InfoPath
Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
Experience with common data science toolkits (R, Weka, NumPy, MATLAB, etc.) and BI tools (Power BI, Anaconda, SPSS)
In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used
Ability to work on site 5 days per week
Ability to hold and maintain a Top-Secret level clearance
Preferred
Experience connecting to and manipulating data from federal systems
