Responsibilities
Produce structural designs and details for residential buildings under tight time constraints
Design buildings with steel, wood, and concrete
Work with mechanicals and HVAC as needed
Qualification
Required
Excellent AutoCAD skills
2-6 years structural design experience in the building design industry
Experienced in wood-framed construction
Familiarity in building codes a plus
Understanding of building envelope requirements
Strong writing/grammar skills
Able to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally with Architects, Builders, and Owners
Strong organization and time management skills which includes the ability to multi-task and run multiple projects concurrently
Willingness to work long days and weekends as required
Preferred
Ability to produce structural designs and details for residential buildings under tight time constraints
Previously designed buildings with steel, wood, and concrete
Additional experience working with mechanicals and HVAC considered a plus
