Responsibilities

Perform complex survey duties associated with construction stakeout and boundary, topographic, and as built surveys
Research historic maps, land records, previous surveys, and land title reports
Complete boundary reductions and mapping/topographic field reductions in CAD/survey software
Download, maintain, and verify accuracy of project survey data and manage survey database. Review survey production and final products, processed data collection, and field notes for quality control
Proficiency with survey computations, staking/control exhibits, and survey crew instructions for construction staking and field survey projects
Knowledge for the operation and assistance of operation of GPS equipment, total stations, levels, data collectors and other survey equipment
Lead CAD Techs in preparing plans and plats describing in detail the surveys performed
Maintain professional and productive working relationships with all clients and coworkers
Mentor and assist in training junior staff members
Operate a company vehicle and observe safety and security procedures

Required

Bachelor's of Science (BS) or Associates Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required
LS License required
6 years of experience minimum required in the Surveying Construction Industry
Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays
Advanced knowledge of land surveying operations, computations, principles and practices
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering plans and construction documents
Knowledge and ability to deal with public and governmental agencies, manage field crews, and schedule equipment and supplies
Proficient in on-site office operation, office workflow processes and problem-solving techniques
Advanced understanding of survey operations and identification of potential problems
Proficient with AutoCAD C3D, survey, GPS, MS Office software
Problem solving techniques
Possesses oral and written communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate with clients, officials, contractors, coworkers and professionally represent IMEG
Valid driver's license with ability to be insured by IMEG carrier

Preferred

7 years of experience in the Surveying Construction Industry
