HPC Technical Trainer
Hawthorne Cat is a family-owned company that has led its markets for over 60 years in the sale, rental, and servicing of construction machinery and power generation equipment. The HPC Technical Trainer is responsible for developing and conducting comprehensive training programs for technical employees and customers, enhancing their knowledge and skills in various technical areas.

Responsibilities
Conducts technical training focused on Cat Prime Product to include but not limited to applied electrical, engines/powertrain, hydraulics, technology, and applied failure analysis
Assists with creating a skills database and tracking training progress
Helps coordinate the TCDP (Technician Career Development Plan)
Helps coordinate skills inventories for employees to identify training gaps (TCDP and HTCP)
Designs curricula, class materials and facilitates classes according to the skills inventory results and requests by management
Works with key company personnel in developing class schedules
Attends necessary classes to become proficient within his/her learning plan
Keeps informed with new products and conducts NPI focused training courses
Coordinates alternative training delivery methods such as: computer based training programs, web deliverable training programs and distance learning programs for companywide learning programs
Provides customer training as well as internal training
Conducts safety training as required such as lock out tag out
Performs any job that may be assigned as necessary to meet the company, department or individual goals and objectives
Qualification
Required
Must have Associates Degree (AA/AS) or equivalent
Must have minimum 5 years technical training experience
Must obtain Caterpillar CIAP certification (Company Supported Program)
Must have proven written and oral communication skills
Must have proven presentation skills with the ability to answer questions to Management, staff, employees or customers
Must have strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
Must be flexible and have a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Must be able to work independently or as a member of a team handling multiple projects and meet demanding deadlines
Must have a valid Hawaii Driver's License, with a clean driving record
Must have ability to travel about 50% of the time
