The Marvin Group is a leading defense contractor specializing in military aerospace and vehicle systems. The Test Engineer I will be responsible for directing the completion of test systems and ensuring compliance with contractual test requirements through the development and execution of test plans and procedures for electrical testing devices.

Responsibilities

Perform the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, harnesses, instruments, and electro-mechanical assemblies

Read and understand technical drawings, procedures, and Mil-Spec industry standards

Prepare, perform and compile reports for tests including data analysis, results, test validation and verification execute production and R&D product and systems acceptance test plan as assigned

Support engineering in writing test procedures and train test technicians

Perform test incident failure analysis and root cause investigation

Ensure proper test-related documentation is completed, verified, and approved

Support development of new test systems and protocols

Ability to use various electrical test and measurement equipment as related to performing job duties

Required

Electrical technician degree (B.A.), B.S. in Electrical Engineering is highly preferred

Ability to work with everything from hand sketches to detailed CAD models

Hands-on experience with operation of Signal Generators, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes & Cable Harness

Testers and data acquisition systems

Advanced schematic interpretation

Ability to use precision measuring devices

Solid documentation, organization, attention to detail, and record keeping

Knowledge and ability to comprehend engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams

General understanding of RF, Analog, Digital Circuits in relation to test development; understanding of hardware test requirements for volume manufacturing

Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
