Responsibilities

Design mechanical components and mechanisms for electrical connections, conductors, and assembly integration
Develop innovative technologies and manufacturing techniques for enhanced performance
Conduct thermal and structural modeling of components and systems for optimization
Build prototypes and validate functionality through lab testing and real-world applications
Collaborate with electrical engineers and PCBA designers to integrate components into electro-mechanical systems
Partner with reliability engineers to ensure design robustness and longevity
Work with manufacturing engineers and suppliers to transition concepts into high-volume production

Required

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in mechanical engineering within product design and manufacturing environments
Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes such as injection molding, die casting, stamping, and extrusion
Proficiency in CAD modeling, with CATIA V5 experience highly valued but not required
Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
