Associate Market Leader, Commercial Real Estate (PHL)
Matthews™ is the fastest-growing commercial real estate firm in the country, and they are seeking a high-impact, entrepreneurial Associate Market Leader. This role involves building and managing the Philadelphia brokerage office while working closely with current Market Leaders to drive profitability and enhance sales performance.

Recruiting, developing, and retaining top-tier agents

Champion and uphold Matthews™ core values and performance standards
Drive a high-activity office culture
Lead by example through daily presence and hands-on coaching
Identify and recruit experienced brokers, recent college graduates, and career changers
Manage full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, interviewing, offers, onboarding
Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of new hires
Conduct Monday Meetings, weekly workshops, and activity reviews
Oversee mentor-mentee relationships and certifications
Deliver ongoing coaching and strategic business development sessions
Monitor agent activity ratios including call volume, proposals, listings, escrows, and closings
Track pipeline activity, ensure adoption of Matthews tools and resources, and review listing agreements
Set individual agent goals and execute improvement plans as needed
Manage office revenue goals and productivity benchmarks
Align agent deployment strategy to maximize product and geography coverage
Participate in senior agent recruiting and expansion efforts
Qualification
Required
2-5 years in commercial real estate brokerage as an agent
Experience preparing for and making cold calls
Proven success in recruiting, mentoring, or managing sales teams
Strong understanding of real estate fundamentals and different product types and service lines (investment sales, leasing, debt origination, retail, multifamily, industrial, office, self-storage, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work early hours, late evenings, and weekends as needed
Willingness to relocate to New York City for the first 6-12 months of tenure at Matthews for initial training (financial assistance provided)
Preferred
Leadership experience at a brokerage or real estate firm
Familiarity with CRM and ATS systems
Strong business acumen and P&L understanding
