CSfC Network Engineer
CACI International Inc is seeking an experienced Network Engineer responsible for overseeing the Archon CSfC solution and leading a team of engineers. The role involves troubleshooting advanced solution issues, designing viable solutions for emerging mission requirements, and directing solution upgrades and maintenance activities to ensure the Archon solution preserves its NSA CSfC Accreditation.

Responsibilities
Assists with providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture
Establishes networking environment by managing system configuration; assisting in system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
Provides detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements
Configures and installs various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS). Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc
Conducts testing of network systems. Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization
Works within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
Performs network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations. Works with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Knowledge of communication methods, principles, and concepts (e.g., crypto, dual hubs, time multiplexers) that support the network infrastructure
Knowledge of capabilities and applications of network equipment including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, servers, transmission media, and related hardware
Knowledge of local area and wide area networking principles and concepts including bandwidth management
Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, Dynamic Host Configuration, Domain Name System (DNS), and directory services
Knowledge of how traffic flows across the network (e.g., Transmission Control Protocol [TCP] and Internet Protocol [IP], Open System Interconnection Model [OSI], Information Technology Infrastructure Library, current version [ITIL])
Knowledge of server administration and systems engineering theories, concepts, and methods
Knowledge of key telecommunications concepts (e.g., Routing Algorithms, Fiber Optics Systems Link Budgeting, Add/Drop Multiplexers)
Knowledge of Virtual Private Network (VPN) security
Skill in implementing and testing network infrastructure contingency and recovery plans
Skill in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting LAN and WAN components such as routers, hubs, and switches
Ability to operate common network tools (e.g., ping, traceroute, nslookup)
Configure and optimize network hubs, routers, and switches (e.g., higher-level protocols, tunneling)
Develop and implement network backup and recovery procedures
Install and maintain network infrastructure device operating system software (e.g., IOS, firmware). Ability to execute OS command line (e.g., ipconfig, netstat, dir, nbtstat)
Skill in configuring and utilizing network protection components (e.g., Firewalls, VPNs, network intrusion detection systems)
Knowledge of network systems management principles, models, methods (e.g., end-to-end systems performance monitoring), and tools
Knowledge of cloud computing deployment models in private, public, and hybrid environment and the difference between on-premises and off-premises environments
Skill in using network management tools (e.g., simple network management protocol (SNMP), (GrassMarlin)) to analyze network traffic patterns (e.g., including control system network analysis)
Implement new system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards
Integrate new systems into existing network architecture
Knowledge of service management concepts for networks and related standards (e.g., Information Technology Infrastructure Library, current version [ITIL])
Knowledge of symmetric key rotation techniques and concepts
Qualification
Required
Must currently be a U.S. Citizenship (no waiver) and currently hold an active TS/SCI with Poly (no waiver)
Minimum Experience of 5 years; Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university or extensive experience with implementing complex network solutions
Certifications: Cisco CCNA, VMware VCP-DCV, and CompTIA Security+ CE
DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher required
