Broadcast Technologist - Engineering Technician
Hearst Magazines is a leader in the broadcast industry, seeking a Broadcast Technologist to join their Engineering/Tech team. The role involves maintaining, repairing, and upgrading equipment used in various operations, providing a great opportunity for career growth through training and hands-on experience.

Responsibilities
Proactively maintain Production equipment including studio cameras, production switcher, playout servers, graphic devices, lighting systems, audio consoles and automation systems
Facilitate the operation of News gathering equipment such as ENG cameras, field gear, trucks (ENG, CSNG, and SNG), and editing systems
Responsible for maintaining remote sites including bureaus, transmitter sites, and microwave receive sites
Support IT manager with network infrastructure and end user issues
Perform weekly and monthly building and grounds maintenance and facilities upkeep as required, including but not limited to, systems testing, storage organization, event setups/teardowns and studio lighting
Complete a wide variety of other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and other physical activity associated with equipment installation, as well as work on rooftops and confined spaces
Must have a current driver's license
Some experience operating, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic equipment for broadcast and production environments
Flexibility to adapt to a schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on organizational needs, special events, or unforeseen circumstances as required
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
Bring a positive attitude, demonstrate initiative, possess strong problem-solving acumen, good judgment and a desire for excellence
In-person attendance is required
Preferred
Education in technology or SBE certification will be considered
