As an Early Steps Intern, you will assist staff in providing high-quality in-home education and support to parents, helping guide their child's early years before entering Pre-K.

Responsibilities

Support the Family Service Coordinator by assisting with Completing ASQ's and finalizing the individual Family Service Plans

Support in facilitating family group activities and socialization experiences

Support the Family Service Coordinator by helping prepare documents for various meetings with the family

Assist with Coordinating our involvement in outreach events

Assist with record gathering for record requests from the community

Support the Family Service Coordinators by helping update the provider list

Assist in gathering questionnaires and other documents from families as needed

Prepare supplies and decorations for county celebrations

Assist with cleaning and sanitizing all toys and equipment

Develop relationships with families that are respectful, culturally responsive and trusting

Perform data entry into applicable databases

Assist families in navigating community resources to meet their needs

Required

Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Elementary Education (with certification to work with birth to 6th grade) or related field

Proficiency in computer systems and MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook

An interest in providing education to parents with young children with disabilities

Strong organizational skills and a tireless focus on quality results

Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills that allow you to work well with diverse teams, clients and families

Resiliency, with a propensity to persevere in spite of constant change

A sincere passion for helping others in need
