Senior Account Executive, Commercial Lines

Responsibilities

Leads meetings with clients, including meetings at client locations
Responsible for providing comprehensive client support and acts as main client contact for book of business
Effectively manages difficult client communications including loss of coverage, claim denials, unfavorable underwriting and other challenging renewal scenarios
Negotiates and sells lines of insurance to clients to round out accounts as appropriate. May design insurance and risk management plans for clients as assigned and directed by Agency management
Owns all audit, review and claims processes for assigned book of business
Analyzes data to draft client service plans, stewardship reports, and other meaningful reports tailored to the needs of the client and circumstances of the presentation
Manages and develops strong personal relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel
Skilled at forecasting industry trends to predict needed changes in client strategies
Reviews changes in carrier offerings and policies and relays information to the larger service team
Mentors or formally directs the work of more junior team members including Account Coordinators, Account Managers, and Senior Account Managers
Facilitates and collaborates with account team on the agency’s renewal strategy
Creates complex risk-management strategies for accounts and other team members to attract and retain large client accounts
Partners with industry and carrier experts to deliver strategy and solution options to clients and the broader agency
Conducts book reviews to determine which accounts need an in-person risk assessment or client meeting to support agency retention
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree
7+ years client service and/or claims management experience
Must hold appropriate licensing as required
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Proficiency necessary in Microsoft office applications
Experience in using technology as a tool to maximize productivity and quality
Previous experience in managing client relationships
Strong written and verbal communication skills
