The ISO Quality Specialist/Auditor will support the US Coast Guard's Aviation Logistics Center by implementing and maintaining quality standards, conducting audits, and driving process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain rigorous quality standards to ensure compliance with AS9110, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 as well as local and US Coast Guard requirements

Drive process improvement initiatives and develop/execute strategies to optimize time, labor and material resources

Conduct and manage regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement; implement and follow-through on corrective actions

Collaborate with USCG Command/Leadership to identify opportunities for streamlining non-conforming processes

Develop and conduct training programs on quality, safety and environmental compliance standards

Required

Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of process improvement experience that includes ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001

In lieu of a degree, eight years of process improvement experience that includes ISO audit process

Strong knowledge of one or both of these: Lean or Six Sigma and certification in one of these is a plus

ISO certification is a plus

Experience coordinating and maintaining ISO audits, ISO corrective action system, and internal audit program

US Citizenship is required for this position and the ability to obtain an EOD (Entry on Duty) from Dept of Homeland Security

Preferred

Prefer a degree in Project Management, Operations Management, Engineering Management, Business or Strategic Management, or Information Systems Management
