Responsibilities

Conduct planning assessments using analytical tools such as GIS to evaluate data, identify trends, and develop documentation to summarize results

Assistance with development of support materials for public involvement programs and attendance of public meetings as needed

Support of project-related documentation for a range of transportation planning studies, traffic operations projects, grant initiatives, and multi-modal / transit-oriented projects

Performance of field data collection and other on-site project support activities

Required

Interest in transportation planning and/or traffic engineering

Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in planning or related field

Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

The ability to manage multiple assignments and work in a team environment

A strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieve

Excellent attention to detail

Some knowledge and experience in data analysis tools such as ArcGIS and Excel

Experience with common software tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and graphics software such as Adobe Creative Suite
