Responsibilities
Advise managers how to apply a wide variety of existing procedures and precedents
Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends
Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them
Work within established audit control systems to deliver specified outcomes or provide general support
Collect business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals
Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards
Work within established procedures to achieve specified goals
Carry out a range of product development and engineering activities. Use established systems to analyze customer needs and define and deliver products
Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals
Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Fire Protection
At least 2 years of industry experience with fire protection system design and/or code consulting
Working knowledge and experience with the interpretation and application of ICC codes, as well as NFPA and other relevant client and industry standards
Proven ability to build positive relationships across diverse teams and client groups
Robust written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely
Preferred
Exposure to the application of fire modeling (i.e. FDS, CONTAM, Pathfinder, CFAST, etc.)
