Responsibilities

Lead and Mentor: Guide a team of Salesforce developers and engineers, providing technical direction, code reviews, and mentorship to ensure high-quality delivery

Drive Project Success: Own the technical vision and solution architecture for Salesforce B2B Commerce and multi-cloud implementations

Partner with Clients: Lead technical discussions, workshops, and presentations with client stakeholders to define requirements and demonstrate Astound’s Salesforce capabilities

Support Pre-Sales Efforts: Collaborate on RFP responses, solution estimates, demos, and technical presentations that highlight our value and expertise

Innovate and Improve: Stay ahead of Salesforce product updates and industry trends to identify opportunities for process optimization, reusable solutions, and accelerators

Ensure Quality and Scalability: Oversee the development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices, robust architecture, and efficient performance across projects

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with delivery leads, project managers, and business consultants to align technical solutions with business objectives

Qualification

Required

10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years leading Salesforce Core and B2B Commerce (or related cloud) implementations

Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring development teams on complex, multi-cloud Salesforce projects

Hands-on expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)

Deep understanding of Salesforce APIs (REST, Bulk, Streaming) and Salesforce data tools

Experience in pre-sales activities such as estimating, scoping, and solution documentation

Strong command of Salesforce SDLC, DevOps, and integration best practices

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and business audiences

Preferred

Software architecture design using object-oriented and modularity principles

Experience with working on complex functional software projects that require a deep understanding of the application logic and dependencies

Technical documentation writing skills

Design patterns knowledge and experience

Basic knowledge of project management

Experience with interviewing and on-boarding of engineers

Experience managing geographically distributed teams
