Senior Partnerships Executive | Lonely Planet
Lonely Planet is a leading travel media company seeking a Senior Partnerships Executive to generate partnerships with clients and agencies across the West Coast, APAC, and international regions. The role focuses on maintaining relationships with travel-endemic clients and implementing the global sales strategy to drive revenue through various media solutions.
Responsibilities
Implement the strategic global sales strategy that includes frequent client and agency touchpoints online and in person to increase brand awareness and perception, resulting in digital partnership opportunities for Lonely Planet
Management of designated customer relationships throughout the RFP response process, which includes preparation, revision and ownership of digital/print media plan input within the order management system to be presented to agency and advertiser clients
Engage Integrated Marketing and creative teams for creative brainstorming, project creation and delivery to be presented to agency and advertiser clients
Maintain accurate pipeline details within the OMS for accurate sales forecasting
Ability to work well but also self-sufficient and scrappy across a small team including sales, ad ops, production, pricing and delivery in order to ensure smooth delivery of partnership campaigns
Qualify leads and discern real opportunities, identifying appropriate product mix for clients to ensure profitable and high performing campaigns are sold in
Cross-media integration, understanding Lonely Planet’s key selling propositions and creative process for custom campaigns against all media types from digital to print and mobile
Be considerate of the wider Lonely Planet business strategic objectives and look for solutions that will help further these goals and strengthen the partnership team’s vision
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in client/agency sales with a proven track record of success
Established relationships with top agencies and travel brands (DMOs/CVBs/etc)
High level of customer service and professionalism, and a natural understanding of how to effectively manage client and agency relationships
Sound knowledge of the latest trends in the digital advertising industry and associated products & processes
Solid understanding of the sales environment including targets and success measures and an appreciation of the pressures and drivers associated with working in sales
Exceptional knowledge of Lonely Planet brand, content, products & platforms and the opportunities that exist for Client Solutions
Excellent organization skills with real attention to detail
Time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple pitches, tasks and projects simultaneously
Self-starter attitude with a drive to succeed
Work as part of the Lonely Planet community to create a positive, tolerant and harmonious work environment
Deal with all staff in a helpful, courteous and respectful manner
Communicate ideas which may improve the efficiency, performance or standards of your department and be open to the consideration of new ideas
Actively participate in the giving and receiving of constructive feedback to ensure understanding and open team relationships
