Responsibilities
Partner with product and engineering to understand audience product problems and propose data-driven solutions
Deliver solutions to challenging, large-scale problems with complexity and ambiguity independently
Write code (Python, R, SQL, etc.) to obtain, manipulate, and analyze large datasets
Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to key partners
Work closely with a cross-functional team of product owners, product marketers, and engineers
Prioritize business solutions, regardless of product area
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in a similar data science role
Degree in a quantitative subject area
Comfortable building and maintaining large, complex datasets
Technical competence to perform advanced analytics and data extraction (using SQL, and Python or R)
Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience in experimental design / causal inference
Experience taking a project idea and bringing it to life through self-driven scoping, planning, and stakeholder communication
Deep knowledge of statistical inference, preferably including experience with Bayesian methods
Preferred
Ad tech experience is a plus
